I have been using supplements since I was around 15 years old in one form or another. I remember when Metrx was one of the only options you had for meal re placers and the industry used to be much smaller than the multimillion dollar industry that it is today. The Bodybuilding Supplement industry has definitely come a long way since 1990. There is more fat burners that I can remember and I work with them on a daily basis. With all these new brands and assortment of products the consumers are some times overwhelmed. The basics are always going to be easy to understand. A good protein powder supplements extra protein that would normally be hard to get from regular foods. Whey protein is a good source of protein to use. Fat burners are good to add a little kick to the work outs and get more calories burned during each session. They work by different methods of attack, appetite suppression, thermogenesis, increased metabolic rate and increase energy witch makes us more active and able to burn more calories. Glutamine is the most abundant amino acid found in skeletal muscle and its a great add on to the whey protein shakes witch usually contain glutamic acid witch is not as effective as the finish product witch is glutamine. Branched chain amino acids in powder form are also very helpful if used during and post work out. Also a good prework out formula containing arginine for increased blood oxygen and vasolidation of arteries for better circulation and more energy during strenuous workouts. pre work out formulas should not be taken with fat burners as they both contain stimulants and can be too much for the central nervous system. This is just a basic over view of some supplements that are a great addition to a regular diet and work out program.
